Explore 384 family trees and 65 000 records available here completely free of charge. The site contains exclusively the results of my private research. I strictly maintain confidentiality, so you will not find any family trees created for my clients here. I believe that these published materials will serve as a great stepping stone in discovering your own family history in the Czech Republic!
All records from parish registers are transcribed into a consistent and clear format. Below you will find an explanation of the symbols, abbreviations, and notation styles used.
Main Life Events
Birth
Format: Name – date of birth, place of birth / register number / page number / record transcription (The entry begins directly with the person's name without any introductory symbol.)
Marriage ( oo )
Format: Groom + bride – date of marriage, place of marriage / register number / page number / record transcription
Death ( † )
Format: Date of death, place of death / register number / page number / record transcription
Specific Notations and Age
Age notation in the format 65-3-2: Means 65 years, 3 months, and 2 days. This format is used for marriages and deaths to determine the birth date as accurately as possible.
Estimated date (circa / before / after): If the exact record has not been preserved, I provide an estimated year based on the age recorded at another documented event.
To be found: Indicates that I have not yet located this event in the archives. The parentheses list specific registers and time periods that have already been searched.
NOT INCLUDED IN THE FAMILY TREE
These individuals share the same surname and originate from the same area, but I have not yet been able to connect them directly to your family tree. I keep these records here in case they can be linked in the future.
